We’re proud to announce A-IQ Ready’s participation in The Autonomous Main Event, held on September 25, 2024. Representing the forefront of EU-funded research in mobility innovation, A-IQ Ready was among the influential projects contributing to the European Union's strategic vision for Future Mobility.
In a keynote speech at the Spotlight Session, "Driving the Future: The Rise of Software-Defined Vehicles," A-IQ Ready Project Coordinator Reiner John addressed both the opportunities and challenges facing Europe’s automotive industry. His presentation emphasized the critical need for Europe to sustain its competitive advantage in the global market, especially amid strong competition from other regions. He highlighted how the integration of innovative mobility solutions within Europe’s existing infrastructure and energy networks could enable balanced growth and sustainability.
Reiner’s presentation also discussed the automotive sector’s transition from domain-specific to multi-domain frameworks, underscoring the essential roles of AI and cyber-physical systems in advancing future mobility. These technological innovations will be instrumental in driving Europe’s progress in autonomous driving and other advanced mobility solutions.
A significant portion of the talk focused on the evolution of ECSEL, KDT, and the Chips Joint Undertaking projects. Reiner spotlighted Cynergy4MIE, the latest initiative, which builds on foundational work by projects like AI4DI, AI4CSM, A-IQ Ready, and ARCHIMEDES. Cynergy4MIE exemplifies the convergence of Mobility, Infrastructure, and Energy systems, aimed at realizing Europe’s Society 5.0 vision—a society where technology enhances lives through sustainable, intelligent, and connected ecosystems.
