In August 2024, A-IQ Ready partners Rihards Novickis, research assistant Andrejs Cvetkovs from Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) and Julio Enrique Posada Román from ARQUIMEA Research Center visited Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen (FAU) in Germany for electronics and components integration and testing.
As a result of the integration, the electronics developed at EDI were tested with quantum sensor heads designed by FAU and ARQUIMEA. These electronics include special diamonds. The change in electron spin as a function of the magnetic field was measured using the optically detectable resonance spectrum method.
The integration of the sensor components provided important information for further electronics development and is an important step towards realising the project's intended applications: underground localisation and motor control.
