Future of Mobility and Energy Transition

What is the future of mobility and energy transition from a semiconductor maker’s perspective? According to Filippo Di Giovanni from STMicroelectronics insights and conclusions presented at the Key Digital Technologies Networking Meeting in Mallorca, efficiency improvement in industrial electricity consumption leads to significant energy savings and reduction of carbon footprint. And here, power semiconductors play an essential role in the #conversion, control and processing of electricity in modern green society. According to the Vehicle electrification and digitalization trends, the mobility of the future will be measured in efficiency, and power electronics and semiconductors applied in high-voltage EV systems and subsystems will allow reaching significantly increased efficiency.
